Mother Of The Universe Award

Motherof the Universe Award

I am proud of my mom because she was always there for me and at age 90 she is still there for me.

She always listened when I had a problem…never judging…guiding and supporting every moment of the way.

Held me when I needed comforting into my 20’s.

Told me I was beautiful and that I could do anything I put my mind to.
Told me to be different…that was a good thing!
Told me that I was equal to everyone and not to take a back seat to anyone.

She taught me to stand up for myself…by confronting a neighbour’s mom who’s daughter was calling Mary-Margaret and me names.

An outstanding role model….always helping older people like Mrs. Ion and Mrs. Beckett, by taking them dinners before we sat down to eat. Buying hedge clippers to cut Mrs. Becketts hedge.

She looked after my grandmother in our house when she was dying of cancer.
She went every night to my grandfather’s house to make sure he was ok and got to bed.

She is a Survivor…life with Daddy was a challenge at times.

Her goal in life was to keep balance and harmony in her families lives.

Hard work will not hurt you…she worked 7 days a week at the Imperial System of Baking…where I learned from example the highest level of customer service and I adapted this into my work ethics. She worked hard all her life and taught me to enjoyed life.

We always took vacations…flying to Scotland BOAC in 1960…she helped me to appreciate travel and adapting to different cultures.

I always thought she was beautiful and wished that I would look like her when I grew up.

Your legacy will live on in your children and grandchildren.

There will be a special place in heaven for my mom.

If there was a Mother of the Universe Award…she would be given this special recognition.

My mom is an amazing dreamer and she taught me how to dream
